Spandrel panels are a key consideration in curtain wall facades. They are installed in the gap between the vision areas of windows, ensuring aesthetic consistency from the outside and concealing the floor slabs, structural columns and shear walls within.
As part of the external wall system, spandrel panels must play an important role in meeting requirements for thermal efficiency, water control and fire safety.

Speedpanel A2 Range
Speedpanel A2® Glass
The Speedpanel A2® range offers composite spandrel panels designed to be compatible with most curtain walling systems. Suitable for both new build and refurb projects, the range is readily available in standard sizes and colours. Requiring no assembly on-site, they offer consistent quality, every time.
Speedpanel A2® Glass comes prefinished with a ceramic-coated glass face – designed to be simply glazed-in to curtain walling systems. It achieves a whole panel fire classification of A2-s1,d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018, and is tested in accordance with the TN 75 Hard Body Impact Test. The glass face features a patent-pending* glass retention system that prevents glass fragments from falling away upon impact, protecting those around in the event of damage.
The product has up to a 40-year life expectancy when fitted in a drained and ventilated curtain walling system that has been correctly specified, tested and installed.

The Speedpanel A2® range offers composite spandrel panels designed to be compatible with most curtain walling systems. Suitable for both new build and refurb projects, the range is readily available in standard sizes and colours. Requiring no assembly on-site, they offer consistent quality, every time.
Speedpanel A2® Aluminium is available in a wide range of colours to help bring projects to life. In addition to being easy to install, the product also provides high levels of fire and thermal performance, achieving a whole panel fire classification of A2-s1,d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018, and typical U-values of between 0.26-0.38 W/m2K.
